Our kids are always in need of many of the necessities you and your famly also need. We accept in-kind donations of many items in order to provide our kids with a very comfortable home. We accept many items, but the list below includes specific items we constantly need.
- Clothing appropriate for children between the ages of five and 17 (new or gently used)
- Toys (new or gently used) for children between the ages of five and 17 (no used stuffed animals)
- Sporting equipment (new or gently used)
- School supplies (new only)
- Toiletries (new items including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, deodorant, etc.)

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any candy for distribution to our children. Also, we currently have no need for large electronics such as televisions and stereo equipment.
As a way to reward our children for good behavior, we established the KidShop in the summer of 2014. Children accumulate Whaley Bucks when they make good choices and show belonging, mastery, generosity and courage and then use their money to purchase items in our store. All the items are brand new and have been donated by our kind community members. When donationg items, please keep in mind the age range of our children. Because residents of WCC are between the ages of five and 17, baby/toddler toys and accessories are not accepted. If you are interested in donating to the KidShop, check out this list of some of our more popular items! If you have any questions, please contact Ashleigh Sanders at (810) 600.0110 or ASanders@WhaleyChildren.org.
