On May 18, 2013, Grand Blanc Motorcars will present The Tux and Tennies Gala & Auction to benefit Whaley Children’s Center. The event will be held at Grand Blanc Motorcars located at 9099 Holly Road in Grand Blanc and will feature live and silent auctions and performances by Mark Randisi and the Motor City Orchestra. This is one of three major fundraisers to benefit Whaley Children’s Center and fills a 25% operating gap in the Charity’s annual budget.
Hosts of this year’s Gala are Fred Hensler of Hensler & Associates Wealth Management and Marjory Raymer, Editor at MLIVE Media Group and The Flint Journal. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception throughout the Mercedes, BMW and Toyota showrooms. An illusionist from the Detroit Circus, a 4-piece jazz ensemble and an impressively large silent auction will entertain guests. Mark Randisi, a well-known musician who has performed with Ray Charles, James Darrin and Don Rickles, will perform The Sounds of Sinatra with a 16-piece orchestra during dinner catered by Chef Louis Fernandez.
Big ticket live auction items include a one day private jet flight donated by Hensler and Associates Wealth Management, a weekend of golf at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort in Traverse City, an Ezulwini South African Safari Hunt, and a Costa Rica one week vacation donated by Gerych’s.
Also at the event, Medawar Jewelers will raffle off a Datejust II Oyster, 41mm, steel and gold men’s Rolex watch. Only 150 tickets are being sold for $100.00 each. Raffle tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at Whaley Children’s Center, Medawar Jewelers Flint Township location on Linden Road and Grand Blanc Motorcars on Holly Road.
