Grand Blanc Motorcars Presents Tux & Tennies Gala and Auction for Second Year


The 2014 Tux & Tennies Gala and Auction will take place on Saturday, May 3 at Grand Blanc Motorcars, 9099 N Holly Rd., Grand Blanc, Mich.   Doors open at 5:30 p.m. featuring a cocktail reception, live and silent auction and afterglow party.   

This charitable event garnered a record breaking $140,000 in 2013.  All proceeds benefit  the programs and services Whaley Children’s Center provides to children who have survived abuse and neglect from throughout Michigan. 

“Our team was thrilled by the success of last year’s event.” said Katrina Khouri, Director of Development at Whaley Children’s Center.  “This year is sure to be as great because of the tireless effort our planning committee has put forth to make this event a prosperous fundraiser for the therapeutic programs we provide to children at Whaley.” 

This year’s entertainment will showcase The Rat Pack Reprise, hailing from Las Vegas, Nev., featuring Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra impersonators.  Big ticket live auction items include a weekend of golf at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort in Traverse City, a one week Costa Rica vacation donated by Jim Gray and dinner with George Blaha, voice of the Detroit Pistons.

Whaley Children’s Center is an independent, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1926 that provides residential child care services to children age 5- 17 years old who have suffered chronic and profound abuse and neglect.
