The 29th Annual World’s Greatest Office Party will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 6-10 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre, 5353 Gateway Center, Flint, Mich., 48507.
“This year’s event will be the best in years,” said DeAndra McCain, Development Coordinator at Whaley Children’s Center. “Because we have so much authentic décor and entertainment, our guests are going to feel as if they have been transported to New Orleans.”
Over the past 29 years, the World’s Greatest Office Party has been an event enjoyed by thousands of community members. However, this “party for a purpose” is also one of three large fundraisers for the programs and services at Whaley Children’s Center. All proceeds from ticket sales, raffles and the silent auction go directly back to the Center.
This year’s French Quarter inspired event will feature extensive entertainment including live music from Soul Serenade, Liquid Entertainment DJs Cha’Chi and BenJamin’, Living Art from Corunna High School, New Orleans inspired street performers from the Detroit Circus, Louisiana Zydeco music from Soul Shake and second line jazz performances from Creole Kitchen jazz band.
“Because of the support from many local businesses and community members, we are expecting a great turnout.” said Katrina Khouri, Director of Development at Whaley Children’s Center. “We can’t thank our devoted community enough for their continued support of our mission.”
Currently, the event is being sponsored by the following businesses: Chasse Ballroom and Latin Dance Studio, Landaal Packaging Systems, FirstMerit, Elga Credit Union, HAP, Signs by Crannie, AT&T, Webcor Packaging, Wendling Orthodontics, Liberty Title, Sam’s Club, Financial Plus Federal Credit Union, Security Credit Union, Forever Young Med Spa, Icon Mortgage Lending, Dr. Bobby Mukkamala & Dr. Nita Kulkarni, PNC Bank, Next Advisory Group, Graff Truck Centers, Big John Steak and Onion, Wells Fargo and Diplomat Pharmacy.
